When to leave for hospital?

You have experienced contractions in 5–10 minute intervals for several hours. When it’s time for your delivery, contractions become painful, and the interval of contractions shortens constantly.

After no more than 12 hours after your waters have broken. If this is during the night, you can wait until the next morning.

If your waters are green, you should come to the hospital immediately.

If you experience bleeding and persistent abdominal pain in between the contractions, you should come to the hospital immediately.

If you’re less than 37 weeks pregnant and you suspect your waters have broken and/or that you’re in delivery, contact us immediately.
If you are unsure whether you should come to the hospital, it is always a good idea to call us.
